Applications shall be made using one of the two ways, namely, Internet and SMS applications. Applicants should not submit their applications to TCU or NACTE by e-mail, fax, or deliver them in person. 

Application through Internet  10.1.1 Holders of Tanzanian certificates applying through the Internet should go through the
following steps: 

i) Open the TCU website (http://www.tcu.go.tz)
ii) Click CAS on the top menu of the TCU website to open the Central Admission System
iii) The TCU Central Admission System will open, the home page containing two links Home and Registration
iv) Click Home if you are an existing user (already registered) and need to login in your account:
a. Enter your User Name (Form Four Index number and year you sat for examination.  Example: S0123/4567/2012) as it was provided by the system.
b. Enter Password. The one you created during registration.
v) For a new user, Click on Registration. A window with information about registration will open.
a. Select either to register as Form VI or Diploma (NTA Level 6) or Diploma (Teachers Education).
b. If in v (a) above you selected Form VI path then enter your Form VI index number
c. If in v (a) above you selected Diploma (NTA 6) path then enter your registration number
d. If in v (a) above you selected Diploma (Teachers Education) path then enter your registration number
vi) Enter your O level index number and the year you sat for CSEE
vii) Select Your Gender
viii) Enter your postal address
ix) Enter your valid mobile number and confirm your number
x) Enter your valid email address and confirm your email address
xi) Enter payment pin code number (obtained from the Bank) 

xii) Enter your valid password and confirm your password
xiii) Then Click Register you will receive a message confirming that,  “You have successfully registered, Your Username is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Form Four index number and the year of examination) and your password will be sent to your email address. When you click OK button you will be directed to the login page.
xiv) In the login page enter your Username (that will automatically be displayed when you have successfully Registered).
xv) Enter your password (the one you created during registration)
xvi) Click Login
xvii) Your User Area will open with five links.  •  Application Form •   Selected Programmes •  My Profile (to view or change personal information) •  Add ‘O’ Level Sitting
•  Add ‘A’ Level Sitting
xviii) To select programmes, click the Application Form. 
a. Enter program codes and click to add into the list. Remove button will be used to remove program from list.  

b. If the number of selected programmes in xviii (a) above is less than the minimum number required the message to notify you add more program will be displayed.
c. During application process you will be receiving different notifications, so please read the notifications carefully before you continue; otherwise you will never complete your registration process.
d. Click Confirm application button when finished.
xix) To change, remove or add programmes click “Selected program” 
xx) To view your personal information click “My Profile” 
xxi)   To add Form IV sitting click “Add ‘O’ Level Sitting” for applicants with more than     one Form IV sitting
xxii)  To add Form VI sitting click “Add ‘A’ Level Sitting” for applicants with more than        one Form VI sitting
xxiii) Click “log out”    You will have completed the application process.

Note: 1. Applicants should remember their passwords, as they will be needed when
reviewing their applications. For the system to assist the applicant who may forget his password, the applicant will be required to enter his registered username (which is ‘O’ Level index number and year of completion) as well as his registered valid email address so that the system can send a new password
through his email address.
2. An applicant is advised to keep his password known to himself, to avoid malicious people who may try to change the applicant’s information. 
Please note: Your password is confidential and personal to yourself. 

 2 Application through mobile phone SMS  

 To REGISTER and APPLY through mobile phone for FORM VI applicants follow the steps below:
a. Go to message mode

b. Type the word TCU and Send to 15789
c. Select 2 to Register (for new applicants) 
d. Select 1 and press Send
e. Enter your form VI index number and the year you sat for ACSEE (example:S0123/4567/2013) and press Send
f. Enter your form IV index number and the year you sat for CSEE (example:S0123/4567/2013) and press Send
g. Enter your voucher number and press Send
h. You will receive a message and your password,” You have successfully registered, and your password is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx” 
i. Type the word TCU and Send to 15789
j. Select 1 to Apply
k. Enter your valid password received in h above 
l. Enter programme codes of your choice leave ONE SPACE after each code and press Send.   

NOTE: 1.  You MUST enter not less than six programme codes and not more
than eight programme codes.
2.  You can NOT select more than three programme from one institution
3. You can NOT repeat selecting the same programme in the same institution
m. You will receive a message,” You have successfully applied”
