Lil Wayne has been released from the hospital, according
to a tweet from friend and fellow Young Money MC Mack Maine. "Thanks
to Cedar Sinai for everything!!!" Maine wrote last night. "[Wayne]
has been officially been released and is headed home .... God is great."
Lil Wayne has been in the hospital
since last week following a series of seizures, possibly related to his
consumption of a codeine-based drink often mixed with soda. Wayne initially
suffered multiple seizures on the set of a music video last Tuesday and was
hospitalized until the following morning. Soon after his release, he was found
collapsed on the floor soon after and was promptly readmitted.

These latest episodes followed an unfortunate pattern: Lil Wayne last
October experienced seizure-like symptoms on an airplane that was
forced to make an emergency landing in Texas. The rapper is expected to release
his 10th studio album, I Am Not a Human Being II, on March 26th.
